Key Responsibilities: 

Candidate Selection and Assessment: 

  • Identify and select candidates who are proficient in both English and Chinese to meet the specific needs of clients in the cruise ship industry, Middle East, and Singapore. 
  • Assess candidates’ Chinese language skills to ensure they meet the required proficiency levels for their roles. 
  • Conduct interviews and language assessments to evaluate candidates’ suitability for various job positions. 

Language Proficiency Assessment: 

  • Develop and implement language testing protocols to accurately assess candidates’ Chinese language proficiency. 
  • Provide feedback and recommendations based on language assessment results to ensure the best candidates are selected. 

Client Communication and Liaison: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients who prefer to communicate in Chinese. 
  • Assist the Operations Manager and other team members in managing client relationships, ensuring that client needs are met effectively. 
  • Translate and interpret communication between clients and the recruitment team when necessary. 

Operational Support: 

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of candidate selection and placement. 
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to candidate selection and client interactions. 
  • Ensure all operations are carried out in an efficient and professional manner, adhering to company policies and standards. 

Market Research and Reporting: 

  • Conduct market research to understand the demand for bilingual candidates in English and Chinese across various industries. 
  • Prepare reports on market trends, language skill requirements, and potential opportunities for the business. 

Continuous Improvement: 

  • Provide input and suggestions for improving the candidate selection process, especially in terms of language proficiency assessments.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to language skills and recruitment in targeted regions. 

Travel Requirement: 

  • Travel locally or overseas as required for work-related tasks, ensuring that all travel is to safe locations.
  • Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and events, both domestically and internationally.
  • Coordinate travel logistics and ensure compliance with company travel policies. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Language Studies, or related field.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is mandatory.
  • Experience in recruitment, language assessment, or client relations is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
