About the Norstar Group

The Group operates Globally with offices in Singapore (Singapore), Westport (USA), Tokyo (Japan), Yangon (Myanmar), Delhi (India) and Damann (KSA). The Group has around 100 shore-based staff with circa 2,000 active seafarers. Norstar’s client base includes investment funds, ship owners, oil majors and leading global energy and commodity companies.
This position will be based in either Gurgaon, India or Yangon,Myanmar
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
– To assist QA Department in establishing marine standards and verify compliance, assist maintain ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations to the latest version, maintain compliance with DOC/SMC records, ISM Code and Vetting related documentation of fleet vessels.
– To assist in establishing annual audit plans, arrange and co-ordinate internal and external audits where required. Follow up with the auditors, vessel agents for conductance of the audits.
– To communicate with vessel on various matters such as month end reports, updating and maintaining vessels KPI, loss prevention data, non-conformity reports, PSC reports, SIRE, CDI reports and Flag State Inspection reports.
– Assist in preparing Company circulars, presentations for seminars, drafting/ formatting procedures for SMS manuals.
– Updating list of circulars and issuance/ publication to vessels and managers. Populate HSEQ, loss prevention, vetting and 3rd party inspection data from vessels in monitoring system for statistics and analysis.
– Updating list and documents related to the fleet’s Key Performance Indicators. Assist in preparing Quarterly and Annual Management reviews.
